7 more born on once-in-100-yrs day

Their bundle of joy, five times over

7 more born on once-in-100-yrs day

VASHI: For those who believe in numerology, it can’t get better than this, at least not for another nine decades when such dates arrive again. A baby was born at Fortis hospital in Vashi at 12.12pm on Wednesday, the 12th day of the 12th year of this century. The baby boy, named Harmony, was delivered by Ijeoma Ochuba, a Nigerian resident.

A Nigerian father with Harmony, the baby boy born at 12.12 pm on December 12, 2012, at Fortis hospital, Vashi. Kevin, the proud father, said, “Our baby was born on 12.12.12 at 12.12pm. It brings peace and harmony in our family, therefore the name.”
Said Ijeoma, “Twelve is my lucky number and I wanted my baby to be born on this day and time. I had got married on November 12 last year, and hence when we learnt that the baby is due around this time, we decided to opt for a caesarian delivery to ensure the arrival at the auspicious time.”
Dr Vandana Gawdi, who conducted the operation, said, “Six babies have been delivered at the hospital so far. We have one more delivery lined up.
Adding a word of caution about caesarian operation, Gawdi said, “I do not advise a planned surgery. The baby decides its own time to come. Harmony was due today, and therefore we planned Ijeoma’s surgery.”
