'John and I are biker buddies'
…says actor Akshay Kumar, getting candid about his co-star and celebrating Halloween with his son

Actor Akshay Kumar has made a new resolution — speaking in only Hindi! On further probing, the actor terms it to be a conscious decision keeping in mind that he is a Bollywood actor, and explains that talking in only English is not the coolest thing to do. Busy shooting for Joker, Akshay took some time off to have a candid chat with After Hrs. Excerpts from the interview:

Pole dancing to teaching martial arts at Oxford University — these are quite hatke stuff from the action stunts that you usually do for your films.
Yes, I love the challenges that different roles bring along with it. Since I play a male escort, I learnt pole dancing. I am less judgemental after the experience. I've realised that it doesn't matter what work you do, as long as you are able to bring food on the table without harming anyone.

What was it like working with John Abraham again, after six years?
It was very nice to work with John again after Garam Masala. But this time around, I saw this whole new man in John. He has improved a lot from the Garam Masala days. His comic timing has improved, he is more muscular now...everything has improved about him. We've become close now. In fact, John and I are biker buddies now.

You are going back to action films. Has that something to do with the pressure of competition, since your last couple of films didn't do that well at box-office?
No, there is no pressure as such. The only pressure is of family. You know you are newly married, then you have your son...so you have to take this things into account. But now that my son is nine, I felt like going back to doing action flicks. I have been getting bored doing comedy and romantic films for the last six years. Now I have got that opportunity to do action in Rowdy Rathore, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 and Khiladi 786.

Is it true that you had a fallout with the producers of Hera Pheri 3, which has resulted in you backing out from the film?
No, it's not true. In fact, I just met the producers a few days back.

So, we do get to see you in the movie then?
It's still on, but nothing has been finalised.

Hear you recently threw a Halloween bash for your son?
The Halloween bash was my son's idea. Aarav planned out everything for his friends — costumes, selecting horror movies and even composing horror music for the party. I just cut a pumpkin, that too after researching on it on Google!
