AFTER
with a line-up of festivals, not to mention the ever-popular wedding season, it's safe to say that the mood is unabashedly joyful. In keeping with this festive cheer, Time ’n Style Beauty along with Sylvia Chen of Butterfly Pond treated Preksha Sekhani to a wonderful new look.
HAIR: Wash the hair with a shampoo and conditioner. Towel dry and apply mousse. Blast-dry the hair till it's completely dry. Divide the hair into sections. Then take each section using medium and large tongs and roll it upwards towards the root. Flip the hair over and finger comb it to loosen the curls. Use hairspray to add some texture to the hair. Using your fingers, shape the parting as you desire. Tease the hair from the occipital area up to the crown. Smoothen the top section to one side and secure using bob pins. Take out a section of hair in keeping with the shape of the head and loosely braid the hair. Pull the rest of the hair sideways and secure it into a ponytail, leaving a few soft tendrils to frame the face. Tease the mid-length of the ponytail to create volume and loosely roll it up into a messy chignon. Wrap the braid around the chignon.
MAKEUP: Apply primer, followed by foundation and blend it evenly. Set the foundation with compact. Apply highlighter on the brow bone. On the eyes, use a base of brown eye shadow. On the inner corners, apply a hint of blue eye shadow. Contour the eyes with red eye shadow. Next, apply eyeliner on the eyelid and smudge it with some eye shadow. Apply k a j a l on the lower rim of the eyes. Apply two coats of mascara. Sweep on a rosy pink blush on the cheekbones. Finally, apply red lipstick to finish the look.
