Now, make Earth greener with just a click

Always wanted to do something to make the world a greener place but weren’t able to? Well, here’s your chance. Not only can you do your bit towards a greener planet but also have a tree named after you. And the best part is, you don’t even have to get your hands dirty. All it takes is a click and you can become a part of Tata Project’s ‘Green Thumb’ initiative. Celebrating its third anniversary this year, the green initiative has helped plant 90,000 trees across hundreds of sites and it has gone viral with more and more people using it to enhance the green cover.

Speaking about the nationwide drive, Naresh Sharma, head of marketing and communication of the company, said, “As an environmentconscious company, we undertake extensive tree plantations at all our project sites when we start construction. Through this initiative, we decided to attribute a tree to a click that we received on our digital platform. Plantation is underway along the Dravyavati River Rejuvenation Project in Jaipur and 1,800 kms of railway lines that we are building under the Eastern & Western Dedicated Freight Corridor Project.”

In order to support this drive, all one needs to do is click on the website link and participate after giving their details. Once you take the pledge, a tree is planted in your name. Tata Projects are reputed for their ability to successfully execute large and complex industrial and infrastructure projects. This green project though is the need of the hour and much appreciated all over. Their goal this year is to cross a total of 1.5 lakh trees in all.

Lately, the Green Thumb initiative has created waves across social media. With over 20,000 workforces at 137 project sites participating in the initiative, the plantation happens on designated days and times throughout the year.
