The Body Centre Swami Sukhabodhananda

The Body Centre
Swami Sukhabodhananda
When you face difficulties and contradictions, do not try to break them but mould them with love, kindness and humility. Give them time to heal. In that space a different energy will flow in your lives. There are two energies - one, an ordinary energy that supports ego, provides a reason for it to exist and gives deceptive goals; the other, a divine energy that dilutes and destroys the ego. This will make you look at life differently. For that energy to flow in, it is necessary that we prepare ourselves prayerfully, proceed positively and pursue persistently.
There are three centres in us that need to be aligned. It is like tuning a TV or a radio. These are... the body, emotions and intellect. When all three centres are aligned in your daily life, a divine energy flows and a magical transformation occurs. You will then find trees to be greener, the sun being radiant and stars magically shining conveying experiences without words.
The moving centre is the body. Body constantly moves … your blood, your breath etc. The body centre has to be relaxed and happy. The important aspect in yoga is to relax the body. Whatever you are doing, learn to do it in a relaxed way - the way you sit, bathe… keep it very relaxed. The very intention to relax will make it happen.
When you relax, healthy chemicals are generated in your body whereas in tension, unhealthy chemicals spread. So learn to relax.
When you are in tension, there are more reasons for you to be ineffective. Learn to keep your body relaxed in whatever action you perform. Also, let your being be happy. How do you do that? Just try to be happy. Learn to smile more often. Practise laughing meditation … just laugh without any reason. The best antidote for anger is laughter. When anger arises, go to a bathroom and laugh it out and you will find the energy that gives tension will slowly diffuse.
One can purify the body centre by being relaxed and happy.
Swami Sukhabodhananda will conduct a four-day residential camp ‘E-Lab’ in Bangalore from May 17 to May 20 with various meditations of both passive and dynamic nature. For details, call 99017 77006
