Wedding offices are not allowed during lockdown. However, there is still a picture of stealing marriages in some marriage offices. The police and the municipality, however, are conveniently ignoring it. Although the influence of corona has not diminished in Moshi, Charholi and Dighi areas near Alandi, the risk has increased as such incidents are taking place.
The Khed governor's order has allowed the opening of electronics and other types of shops along with essential items from Thursday. However, the police and the municipality have not yet given permission for the marriage to take place from the marriage office. Some enthusiastic congregations, however, have been getting married in Alandi for four days now. Fifteen or twenty brides with the bride and groom, sometimes with three witnesses, come together and get married.
Vegetable sellers are already flocking to Alandi from Moshi, Charholi, Vishrantwadi and Yerawada areas. Cannabis and alcohol are being sold illegally and illegally. It shows that the local administration is not taking action. Now, stealing weddings has raised concerns about the health of local congregations.
The municipal administration did not consider local councilors before making a decision during the lockdown. Vegetable vendors, traffic jams and weddings are currently out of control. Wedding ceremonies can spread the corona. The administration should be careful, otherwise if a corona patient is found in Alandi, the responsibility will be entirely on the administration.
- Vaijayanta Umargekar,
Mayor, Alandi (Tal. Khed)
Can marry locals. However, brides from outside Alandi are not allowed. The municipality has not given any permission to run marriage offices. Weddings will be closed until the lockdown. The same idea has been given to marriage offices. Proper action will be taken if the marriage is reported to be ongoing.

Chief Officer, Alandi Municipality (Tal. Khed)
