Artist Narendra Pawaskar is better known as a “water colour, landscape painter” in the art circuit. His ongoing exhibition in the city showcases some of his best landscape artworks. And as he says, the show aims to have a retrospective look at his style. “The title of my exhibition Looking Back is with the intention of showing the development of my style and technique of painting, right from my childhood till date,” he explains.
Pawaskar has displayed his paintings at several events and exhibitions, in and outside the city.

And it is his unique style of painting that sets him apart from the rest. “While painting landscapes, artists generally tend to draw few suggestive lines depicting the view before them,” he says adding, “But I start from the ‘golden point’ in the picture (without making any use of pencil) covering the masses, then the middle tone and the dark tone that makes the picture attractive,” adds Pawaskar, who is particularly fond of “creative art works, abstract paintings, and semi modern art forms.” He vouches for the style, and says he’ll remain faithful to it even in the future.
