Is it safe to keep a labrador retriever and a rabbit together at my home?

Is it safe to keep a labrador retriever and a rabbit together at my home? This depends on the temperament of the animals. Some dogs and rabbits do get along exceptionally well. Start by keeping the rabbit in the cage while the dog is around and let them get used to each other’s smell and sight. Gradually work up to get these two closer. If they react aggressively, separate them immediately. Adjustment works better when the animals are young. Labrador retrievers are generally pleasant, even-tempered dogs who adjust well to small children and other animals. However they can be too playful and boisterous for your rabbit to handle.
