Today is World Heritage Day, a day that celebrates the shared wealth of humankind.

Heal the world!

Today is World Heritage Day, a day that celebrates the shared wealth of humankind.
It was in 1983 that the UNESCO General Conference passed a resolution recommending that Member States examine the possibility of declaring 18 April each year “International Monuments and Sites Day” — which is popularly called the World Heritage Day. Since then, April 18 every year has been celebrated across the globe as a day dedicated to preserving and protecting the global historical, valuable assets. It also aims to spread a mass awareness about the diversity of cultural heritage and the efforts that are required to protect and conserve it.
