Fashion designer Neeta Lulla shares, “Dig into your cupboard and bring out any old piece of jew ellery or a piece of ensemble like a blouse, kurta, dupatta, salwar, lehenga or a sari that can be dressed up with contemporary pieces to create a vintage look. For a traditional look, team any of the garments with a combination silhouette in a pure, rich fabric and couple it with a traditional piece of jewellery; wear a hair bun, a loose plait, or perhaps a low bun to complete the look.

To give a modern twist to this look, com bine vin tage with contemporary.

Try kurtis with basic den ims; a black, cocktail dress with vintage jew ellery; mojris with short casual dresses.

GO RETRO

Stitched, double-draped saris or palazzo pants are your go-to outfits when gearing up for a retro party. For men, narrow, tapered trousers with fitted shirts and slim ties can work wonders.
