Quick beauty fixes

Quick beauty fixes

DEPUFF EYES Steep two bags of green tea and slit them open. Stuff half a teaspoon of grated cucumber into each tea bag and place it over each eye. Next lay a small cloth bag filled with frozen green peas on both eyes. The green tea is high in antioxidants while the frozen peas aid in reducing puffiness.
TREAT SUN SPOTS So you skipped sunscreen and are now left with obvious patchy, discoloured skin?
Gently rub a strawberry on discoloured skin thrice a week. Let your skin soak in the juice for at least five to 10 minutes before washing it off. The fruit acids will help lighten and even out your skin tone. This works well for non-sensitive skin.
LASTING LIPSTICK

So you are feeling your confident, sassy self with a brightly hued pout until you eat something and are then left with faded stained lips with only an outline of lipstick? The trick to making your lipstick last is to layer it. Apply a coat of colour and then cover your lips with the thinnest tissue paper. Dust translucent powder on the tissue. Remove the tissue and apply another coat of colour. You can also use a lipstain in a similar shade. Apply a coat of lipstain. Let it dry and then apply a coat of lipstick. This way even if you eat something that will wipe off your lipstick the lipstain will make sure your lips look coloured.
TICKLISH TOES

Do you avoid getting pedicures because you can’t imagine anyone massaging your overtly sensitive feet? Hold your leg just beneath the knee as if you are choking your leg, while the pedicurist files, scrubs and moisturises your foot.
LASTING POLISH

After you are done applying a base coat, make sure you apply a little more on the tips of your nails. Apply two coats of your favourite polish. The extra base coat on the tips will make your polish last longer since its around the tips that peeling first starts.
