Put off the puffiness
Is your reflection in the mirror staring back at you with bags under those beautiful eyes? Reasons for puffy eyes can be many — allergies to heredity, lack of proper sleep to effects of late night-outs. Here are a few tips to help you combat the puffiness…
- Splash cold water on your eyes and the rest of the face every morning. It kick starts fluid circulation in your face.
- Add a little rose water to cucumber juice and apply the mixture around the eyes. Wash it after 20 minutes.
- Grate a potato with its peel and apply on closed eyelids for about 20 minutes. Relax completely after applying it (you may even take a nap).
- Take two teabags moistened by cold water and place them on your eyes for five to 10 minutes.
- Use an eye cream that has rosemary or mint herbal base.
- Remove makeup every night. Makeup fills the pores, which in turn causes swelling.
- Go for a self-help mini massage. Use your middle finger to sweep inward through the ocular bone for three to five minutes every morning.
- Sleep with your head raised.
- Drink a minimum of 12 glasses of water every day, it helps to flush out waste from the body.
