We have recently moved to a bigger house with a nice garden and trees. My daughter installed bird feeders but birds don’t come feed there...
Make sure that the feeder is clean, as birds don’t
feed from dirty dishes. They will not come, if they feel threatened.
Hence, the positioning of your feeders plays a very vital role. Place
them in a quiet secluded area that doesn’t see much activity. Another
reason might be that there are already enough sources of food and water
in that area, and the birds don’t need to feed from your feeder. Be
patient. With time you will have more and more traffic coming in your
garden. Ensure you only put out dry food.
Our Chihuahua puppy is very active and friendly but the moment our eyes are turned she attacks almost anything and shreds it to pieces. Is there any way to put an end to this behaviour?
Since she is a pup, it’s a normal trait,
especially if they are teething. She’ll stop chewing once she grows up.
Puppies are best suited to behaviour training. Instead of saying no when
she does something wrong, use a word that never comes into regular
conversations. Anytime they hear that, they would know something was
wrong. Using a loud noise might also help as it scares them.
My macaw is sneezing a lot. She eats everything and doesn’t have a runny nose. What could be the problem?
Macaws
have a very sensitive respiratory system. Make sure that the cage is
clean, and do not dust or clean the room with the bird present. Strong
smells of perfumes, cleaners or smoke can also act as an irritant. If
the symptoms persist, she might have a mild case of cold. There are no
bird doctors in India, which is why one should never keep birds at all.
My pets have altered their behaviour towards my wife after we found out she is pregnant. Our cat follows her around all day and hisses at me and my dogs if we get too close. Our three-year-old Doberman, who loved to cuddle with her, has been distant lately but our German Shepherd has taken to laying his head on her belly. Is it possible that my pets sense that my wife is pregnant? |
