High-end Thai fashion store launched in Thane

For years, Indian celebrities as well as fashionistas have been travelling to Asia’s fashion hub to buy clothes. But not anymore. On Wednesday, Thailand Sawan, a flagship store showcasing clothing lines from leading designers and factories across Thailand, opened its branch on Ram Maruti road in Thane (w). Actors Zeenat Aman, Manav Gohil, Divya Dutta, Tisca Chopra, Dr Aditi Gowitrikar, Shweta Kwatara, Deepshika Nagpal, Amruta Khanvilkar, fitness expert Leena Mogre and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena MLA Nitin Sardesai were at the store to check out the exquisite collections. Models also walked the ramp displaying the collections. “Right now Thailand Sawan is in a nascent stage. We are trying to ensure that it becomes one of the major fashion outlets in the country,” said Vilas Bhandarkar, founder of the store.
