Beauty queries

Beauty queries
I am 25 years old. I have redness around the T-zone of my face which is generally throughout the year irrespective of weather changes. What could be the reason? I am undergoing treatment for seborrheic dermatitis. I also have uneven skin tone and dark circles and blackheads can be seen all over my face which is very embarrassing. Clean-ups done at a beauty parlour haven’t helped much. —Alifya
Your skin is red because of seborrheic dermatitis. I am sure your dermatologist is taking care of this. What you should do is avoid heat, facials and irritants to the skin. When skin is red use a mild face wash, a creamy one with no acids in it. Use Calamine lotion as often as you can and treat dandruff. This should give you some relief.

I am a 15-year-old boy. I have a severe acne problem due to which I have acne scars and dark spots. Can you suggest a remedy for it? —Aniket
Acne can be just a passing thing due to your hormones, but this needs to be controlled. Your doctor will give you medication towards killing the bacteria and controlling the sebaceous/oil secretion. Use a face wash with salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide night cream right away. Let’s deal with the marks once your acne is under control.

Few years ago I got hurt on my face which now has turned into a white spot. I consulted a dermatologist and tried many ointments and creams. Is there any natural remedy for it? —Masira
Natural remedy would be to expose that part to the early morning sun, but the rest of your skin might tan/get damaged. There are lotions that help gain melanin, the skin pigment back on the patch. Also, try the newer Excimer lasers.
